R&D cell
The Research and Development (R&D) Cell promotes a strong research culture among student-teachers and faculty. It encourages innovative teaching practices, facilitates research projects, organizes workshops seminars and supports publications. The Cell motivates budding researchers to undertake socially relevant studies and contributes to academic excellence through continuous research engagement.
Objectives
- To create an enabling environment within GRT College of Education in order to foster a research culture.
- To ensure high level of efficient and effective support system to facilitate faculty and researchers in their research activities.
- Ensure publications in quality journals, indexed in Scopus/Web of Science and/or with impact factor.
- To nurture an environment of undertaking socially useful research with potential implementation.
- Encouraging faculty members to collaborate with other research organizations.
Seed Money
Research and Development Cell consecutively providing seed money from the management to the faculty members for Publication of research papers in journals. Furthermore, given hands to enhancement of research activity.
Key Activities of the Research and Development (R&D) Cell
- Promotion of Research Culture:
Encouraging student-teachers and faculty members to engage in continuous research, innovation, and scholarly inquiry. - Research Projects and Action Research:
Facilitating minor research projects, action research field-based studies focusing on educational and social issues. - Workshops and Seminars:
Organizing workshops, seminars, FDPs, and training programmes on research methodology, data analysis, academic writing and publication ethics. - Innovation in Teaching Practices:
Supporting innovative and evidence-based teaching strategies through research-driven classroom practices. - Publication Support:
Guiding faculty members and student-teachers in publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals, edited volumes and conference proceedings. - Research Presentations and Conferences:
Encouraging participation in national and international conferences, seminars and paper presentations. - Ethical Research and Plagiarism Awareness:
Promoting ethical research practices and awareness of plagiarism policies and citation standards. - Socially Relevant Research Initiatives:
Motivating researchers to undertake studies addressing contemporary educational challenges and community needs. - Research Documentation and Dissemination:
Maintaining records of research activities, publications and outcomes to support academic quality and institutional growth.
