The Electoral Literacy Club aims to develop informed and responsible citizens by creating awareness about voting rights, electoral processes and democratic participation. The Club conducts voter awareness drives, mock elections and educational sessions on civic responsibility.
Objectives:
The Electoral Literacy Club is to awaken the duties of the voters among the students
- To understand the functions of Election commission of India.
- To understand themselves in relation to their community
- To enhance and to spread voter awareness amongst employees of Govt./Pvt. Department/Organization
- To gain skills in mobilizing community participation
- To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude
- To create awareness among the village peoples.
Key Activities of the Electoral Literacy Club
- Voter Awareness Programmes:
Organizing awareness sessions on voting rights, voter registration and the importance of informed participation.
- Mock Elections and Simulations:
Conducting mock polling and election simulations to familiarize students with electoral procedures.
- Educational Sessions on Electoral Processes:
Providing information on the structure, functioning and significance of democratic institutions and elections.
- Civic Responsibility Campaigns:
Promoting values of citizenship, ethical voting and democratic responsibility through campaigns and discussions.
- Celebration of National Voters’ Day:
Observing National Voters’ Day with special programmes, pledges and awareness activities.
- Poster and Slogan Campaigns:
Organizing poster making, slogan writing and creative activities to spread electoral awareness.
- Digital and Social Media Awareness:
Sharing voter education messages, infographics and videos through digital platforms.
- Collaboration with Electoral Authorities:
Coordinating with Election Commission initiatives and local electoral offices when applicable.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining records of activities, participation and outcomes for institutional reference.
