The Women Empowerment Cell works towards fostering gender equality and empowering women on campus. It organizes awareness programmes, self-defense training, health and hygiene sessions and motivational talks by women achievers. The Cell ensures safety, dignity and equal opportunities for women and strives to create an inclusive and gender-sensitive learning environment.
Objectives
- Identification of strong leadership, change-makers among women and girls and building their capacity.
- To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender.
- To organize awareness programs on gender sensitization.
- The provision of opportunities and programs for girls and women to be financially, mentally and emotionally empowered to promote their growth as individuals in their own right.
- To conduct seminars and workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.
- Arranging seminars to create awareness on the economic, social, political and legal rights of women.
- Organizing different activities to make women aware of their health, sports, self-defense etc.
- Conducting various competitions to encourage their artistic talents for creative thinking
- To highlight the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene and safety
- Celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th, every year
- To inculcate entrepreneurial attitude among young girls, scientists at the earliest so that they can be “job providers” rather than “job seekers”.

Organizing programmes on women’s health, nutrition, menstrual hygiene and overall well-being.

Inviting accomplished women professionals and leaders to share experiences, inspire confidence, and encourage leadership.
- Legal Literacy and Rights Awareness:
Creating awareness about laws related to women’s safety, workplace rights and protection against harassment.
- Celebration of Significant Days:
Observing International Women’s Day, National Girl Child Day and other relevant occasions through meaningful activities.
- Skill Development and Leadership Programmes:
Encouraging leadership qualities, decision-making skills and self-reliance among women students.
- Support and Referral Services:
Providing guidance and referral support for addressing issues related to safety, harassment or discrimination.
- Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining records of activities and outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.
